To win a national championship, you need ...

Heart, and a little luck

"To win a D-III national championship you need heart and you need a little luck. We definitely had some luck during our run and had different players step up in different games. To win your last 16 games you have to have the ball bounce your way a little bit. We definitely had a lot of heart on our team.

"We had five seniors who were leaders who had been to the Sweet 16 every year. Nobody and no situation intimidated us. We had been through a lot together both on and off the court and it really made us a stronger, tougher team. We seriously refused to lose, and that is what made our team special. We were not even close to being the most talented team in the country, but we were the best team in the country.”
